Ozian

Privacy Policy

Effective July 16, 2026

Ozian Sidekick (“Sidekick”, “we”) is a task-tracking service operated by Ozian. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: your captures, tasks, and meetings are yours — we store them to run the product, we don’t sell them, and we share them only with the processors listed below.

What we collect

Account information. Your name and email address, managed by our authentication provider (Clerk). We never see or store your password.

Content you send to your sidekick. Emails you send to your sidekick address, notes you add from the browser, and the tasks, projects, goals, and meeting briefings the service creates from them. Email content includes the sender address, subject, and body.

Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer reference and subscription status — never card numbers.

Usage records. Counts of billed operations (e.g. meetings run, items clarified) and technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

To run the product: capture what you send, classify it into tasks and projects, build follow-up lists, generate inbox digests and meeting briefings, and send you the emails you’ve asked for (capture acknowledgements, follow-up reminders at the cadence you choose — you can turn these off any time on the Follow Up tab).

Portions of your content are processed by a large-language-model provider (Anthropic) to classify captures and generate summaries and briefings. This processing happens via API; per Anthropic’s commercial terms, API content is not used to train their models.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only service providers needed to operate Sidekick: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Railway and Vercel (hosting), Hetzner (mail delivery), and Anthropic (AI processing as described above). Each receives only what it needs for its function.

Team workspaces

Sidekick is a team tool. Content in a shared sidekick — captures, tasks, assignments, and follow-up lists — is visible to the other members of that sidekick. Members’ display names and email addresses are visible to teammates on the Follow Up and Settings pages.

Retention and deletion

We keep your content while your account is active. Deleting a sidekick deletes its captures, work items, digests, and briefings. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at the address below and we’ll complete the deletion within 30 days.

Your rights

You can export your full task tree any time (Settings → Export), correct or delete individual items in the product, and request access, correction, or deletion of your data by email. If you’re in a jurisdiction with specific data-protection rights (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), we honor those requests.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by our hosting providers. Access to production systems is limited to the operator. No system is perfectly secure — if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we’ll notify you.

Changes and contact

We’ll post any material changes to this policy here and update the effective date. Questions or requests: sidekick-feedback@sidekick.ozian.org.
